Life is beautiful with Ken and all the wonderful people that love me.
But at times, it can get really fustrating, hence this is where I'll bitch about it.
You have equalled the time you spend swimming in my tummy and time spend outside. So... how's the world treating u? Enjoying the hot weather, the comfy bed and having a much much bigger area to explore? Haha... Woo... time flies. Happy 38 weeks old my chubby precious. 38 weeks ago, i was blogging about your arrival. See here. Seems like just a while ago, u were still in my tummy and then taken out. And here you are now, crawling all about and exploring your surrounding. My baby, you have grown so much over the past 38 weeks. I miss your new born look, i miss being about to strunt around feeling proud for actually having a huge belly. However, I'm also looking forward to see how you continue to amaze Daddy and I with the stunts you can peform.
U are growing very well and on 2 solids per day. However, your maximum milk intake is 120ml only. This is very little. U were drinking 120ml since u were 3 months old. Hmm... why leh? Is it mummy's milk not as yummy as before? Granny chia has been lovely preparing your porridge every morning. U have a special liking for fish, just like Daddy. So... your solids is always fish + vege. And must be those sweet vege like pumpkin, carrots, sweet potatoes. U also love to chew on carrots and cucumber sticks. So far, u have 2 little bottom teeth and will sometimes nibble me when latching on. Darling, please dun bite me. It's painful leh. Your tiny teeth are so sharp. I'm dreading the day that you have full set of teeth and give me a bite. Haha.... maybe i should start thinking when I wanna wean you off my breasts. U need to latch on to fall asleep every night. Many people have been telling me that this is a really bad habit and i should wean u off asap. The longer i delay, the more difficult it will be. But u are very hard to pacify, onluy the boob work. Oh well... i'm sure one day you will grow sick of my boob. Till that day then. We see how.
This weekend is Father's Day. What shall we get daddy??
Stunt #1 Marcus like to crawl and use the standing fan to pull himself up and shake the fan. Everytime we must carry him away. So scared the fan will fall on him.
Stunt #2 Trying to do a flip in his stroller even though we have him on 5 point harnest. And trying to stand up while stroller in motion!
Stunt #3 Crawling and exploring the sides of my platform bed to get the remote control, mobile phone, HP charger wires etc to chew!
Stunt #4 Attempting to wriggle and stand on his ikea high chair.
Stunt #5 Propping himself up in his cot and balancing on 1 leg, the other leg trying to climb out of the cot.
Marcus bottom tooth finally made it's appearance!!! Yay... he's no longer in the bo gay club. Keke...
New set of problems... I worry that Marcus will bite me when i latch him on. But i'm lazy to express and bottle feed him when i'm at home. Sigh... I mean, latching on is so easy. No need to wash and sterlise bottles, and the temp of the milk is always right. Just have to unclip and stuff boob into his mouth. Simple and fuss free.
April is performance bonus month. We all were excited to get bonus despite the bad economy. Cynthia was feeling generous and wanted to give us a treat. We had a hard time deciding on the venue. Wanted Wild Rockets at first, but they were fully booked on a Thursday. What lousy luck for us.
Cynthia was scrolling thru her phonebook and saw BROTH. So... off we went to Broth aftering googling and checking that they serve sticky date pudding. Keke... We sort of got lost at Duxton and had to call them up several times before we finally found the resturant. Nice place, free expensive food with superb company. What else can i ask for... Yummy.
Thanks Cynthia. My treat next time. But only buying Ben & Jerry. Keke...
Amazing to see that you can crawl and sit on your own now. Seems like just yesterday you were still moving about in my tummy. Now, u are 10kg active baby crawling all over and grabbing things to stuff into your mouth. You are also now able to sit up from a lying down position. And once in a sitting position, you can prop and stand up! Time to lower the baby cot again. You seems to have a grudge against the baby cot. You are constantly biting the railings. You cannot stay happily inside for more than 10 min. Afterwhich, you will wail for help... If we all ignore you, you will grab the railing and stand up and attempt to climb over...that is very very dangerous. You are still co-sleeping with us. The baby cot is only for emergency use. That is, we only put u inside when we need to go to the toilet.
You also know how to "fake cry" now. I say fake coz u will bow your head against the floor and wail sooo sorrowfully. The peeped up to see if anyone is coming to get you. If u see no one around, u will bow down again and wail even louder to get our attention. However, as soon as we pick u up, will will break into a toothless grin. Ya... at 7months old, u are still bo gay and botak. Granny Chia always rushes to your aid. She say no good to let baby cry. Sigh... i think she have spoilt you a little.
So far, you have been enjoying your solids. Granny has been feeding you potatoes, sweet potatoes, baby carrots, pumpkin, apples, broccolli and wice cereal. And the funny thing is, after we started you on solids, you pooing patterm is sort of disrupted. You use to poo every morning. But now, you poo only once in 3 days. This got me slightly worried. But mummy have been reading and its says as long as you are not constipated or straining when you poo, and at least once a week, and remain active. you are on the safe side.
You are also much more "talkative" now. Babbling non-stop and making all sorts of gibberish noises. So far, i can only make out when u scream neh-neh (milk milk).
Next month is Mother's Day. Will you surprise me by calling Ma-Ma??
PS : We'll be flying off to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Hope the H1N1 thingy clear up soon.
You have discovered your toes and love sucking them. According to old folks, this is a sign that a sibling is on the way. Hmm… am I ready for another baby? I've always wanted my kids to be close in age, so that they can be each other's companion, just like Hui and I. However, taking care of a baby is no joke. I'm already running out of ideas of how to keep you entertained.
You have not learnt how to crawl forward yet. But can move backwards really fast. You often retreat and get stuck under the sofa and would cry frantically for help. Even though you haven't mastered the art of crawling forward, you can do an amazing forward leap. Especially when u see Daddy's expensive DSLR. You will lurge forward and grab the straps and stuff them into your mouth. Yes, everything you grab goes straight into your mouth. Granny has been keeping herself very busying keeping the floors clean as you love to lick them too.
You also love to roll about. This also means that we cannot leave you unattended on the bed. This has make visiting the toilet while home alone with you mission impossible. Mummy has since learnt to control my bladder very well.
You are still co sleeping with us on our seemingly shirking queen size bed and have developed a nasty habit of kicking in your sleep. You give daddy such thunderous and powerful kicks that have woken him up a few times. Once he dreamt that he was in a fight and almost hit you back. Luckily he woke up in time to realize that it's just you kicking and pulled back his punches.
As usual, we are still taking daily pictures of you. You seems to be growing up so fast.
